Early stages of the new custom dash. The dash transitions out of the door panels and down to the center console, where it connects to the sub-enclosures in the rear. For HVAC, Vintage Air was used. We disassembled the vents and HVAC controller so that they would have the brushed nickel plating, along with the Flaming River steering column.
Ace of Spades radio cover plate motorizes down, then the head unit motorizes out of the dash off the single press of a button for added flair and uniqueness. The center dash panel was finished in gloss black to match the exterior of the car. Also note, that the gas, brake, clutch pedals, and gauge panel have been brushed nickel-plated, too.
Navigation unit flush mounted into the right rear of the trunk area.
In the event of mechanical failure, we included a Snap-On tool kit flush mounted into the trunk floor.
The door panels were constructed to house 2 sets of component speaker systems. Armrest was trimmed in Alcantera to match. The armrest base, speaker grills, and other hardware were also finished with brushed nickel plating, enhancing the 1969 Camaro stereo system.
View of radio in the motorized-out position.
Behind the scenes view of motorization. We used two 2” actuators, drawer slides and some limit switches. All the custom mounts and brackets were fabricated from aluminum for durability and strength.

Headliner and visors were trimmed with grey Alcantera suede. All the necessary hardware was also nickel plated and brushed to match.
A 6-disc CD changer was also flush mounted into the left rear trunk area in this Camaro sound system upgrade.
1969 Camaro Stereo and Sound System Upgrade in Arizona
Client purchased this 1969 Camaro stereo system with ideas of creating a Resto-Mod like no other. He began the project by installing an LS1 crate motor, a new C5 suspension set-up, some one-off body modifications, and a shiny new black paint job. All hardware and accessories have been finished with brushed nickel plating for a unique flair. Then it was our turn. We had the task of transforming the interior from ’69 to modern. We started by removing everything from the interior, including the factory dash, and laid layer upon layer of Dynamat and Dynaliner to combat noise and heat, then we began designing a one-of-a-kind interior with an audio system to complement the rest of the vehicle.
Where the rear seat once was, we fabbed a couple of fiberglass enclosures in the 1969 Camaro stereo system, making a home for a couple of 15” subwoofers. The two enclosures are connected by a trim panel with a plexiglass “SS” logo illuminated with EL wire, the panel then flows up to the rear deck area where the massive power amp is mounted to a steel frame welded to the roll bar. Also visible is the rear of the custom center console that transitions from the dash to the rear of the car. The amplifier, woofer trim rings, and roll bar were all treated with brushed nickel plating, contributing to the Camaro sound system upgrade.
